We’ve had the privilege of working with PlantStrong since 2018 on their annual PlantStock event. Over the years, it’s taken on many forms — in-person, hybrid, and now fully virtual. In 2025, the event went 100% online, streamed directly to PlantStrong’s huge community resulting in more than 1000 tickets sold and a truly seamless experience for both speakers and attendees.

Our Game Plan
Pulling off a virtual event of this scale meant thinking through every detail in advance. Here’s how we did it:
Multi-Camera Production: We used multiple cameras to give the livestream a professional, polished look that kept viewers engaged — far from the “single webcam” style most people associate with virtual events.

Bringing in Virtual Guests: One of the highlights of PlantStock 2025 was a live talk from Dr. Kristi Funk, who joined virtually to give her talk to the online viewers. She lives on the west coast while Rip was in Cleveland, Ohio.

Incorporating Pre-Recorded Content: We rolled in multiple pre-recorded segments featuring top doctors and leaders in the plant-based space. This added variety and depth to the conference for all their viewers.
Lessons Learned
Virtual doesn’t mean less impactful. With the right production, online events can feel just as dynamic as in-person.
Plan for variety. Mixing live talks, pre-recorded segments, and guest speakers keeps viewers engaged throughout.
Virtual events drive real revenue. Selling 900 tickets showed the power of thoughtful, professional online production.
PlantStock 2025 was a success, and we’re already looking ahead to PlantStock 2026 in North Carolina, where the event returns to an in-person format. After years of partnership with PlantStrong, we’re proud to keep helping them grow their movement and reach audiences worldwide.
