In 2026, we partnered again with KHM Travel Group to live stream their annual Crystal Conference aboard the Norwegian Encore. This marked the third year KHM has brought live streaming to the event, expanding its reach beyond the 350 agents in the room to more than 200 additional agents watching live from home.
For KHM, this is not just another event. The Crystal Conference Awards show is their biggest night of the year. It is about recognition, celebration, and honoring the agents who help drive their company forward. Our job was simple in theory: make sure everyone, who was not in the theater could experience the event without interruption.

The Goal
Deliver a seamless, professional live stream to remote agents
Capture the energy and emotion of the awards in the room
Protect the broadcast from potential internet instability at sea
The Live Stream Setup at Sea
Producing on a cruise ship requires flexibility. We collaborated closely with the ship’s in-house production team to integrate production setup, audio, and stage setup while building our own broadcast infrastructure.
We deployed a hybrid camera setup:
2x Hardwired cameras for stable, locked-in shots of the stage
2x Wireless cameras for mobility in the theater
The wireless system allowed us to capture crowd reactions, award walk-ups, and emotional moments without being tethered to one position. On a ship where space and cable runs can be limited, this flexibility was critical.

Streaming in the Middle of the Ocean
Internet is the biggest wildcard when you are floating in open water. To protect the experience for viewers at home, we built a controlled delay into the stream using our BoxCast Spark. The Spark encoder uses a custom streaming protocol called BoxCast Flow that is perfect for situations like this.
This cloud buffer allowed the broadcast to continue smoothly in the event of brief signal fluctuations. If the ship’s connection dipped for a moment, viewers would never know. The stream kept moving forward without disruption.
For the 200 agents watching live, that stability meant everything. No freezing. No dropouts. Just a professional broadcast experience.

Beyond the Awards: A Full Week of Production
The Crystal Awards was just one part of our responsibilities.
Throughout the cruise, we were:
Shooting and editing promo content
Creating recap videos for social media
Producing forward-facing content to promote next year’s conference
Capturing testimonials and agent experiences
The Extra Responsibilities That Made the Difference
Large-scale events like this require more than just pressing record.
We coordinated with ship production teams. We managed internet risk mitigation. We handled multi-camera switching. We delivered same-week edits. We created marketing assets for the future.
By the end of the cruise, KHM did not just have a successful live stream. They had a library of content to promote their brand, celebrate their agents, and build momentum for the next year.
Why This Event Matters
The Crystal Conference is not just a ceremony. It is a culture-defining moment for KHM Travel Group. When a company’s biggest celebration happens in a moving venue, hundreds of miles offshore, and still reaches hundreds more viewers in real time without interruption, that is not luck. That is planning, preparation, and execution.
We are proud to help KHM bring their most important night to life, year after year, no matter where it takes place.
