Some projects feel extra special — and this one is definitely one of them. As a proud Fairview Park High School alumni (Class of 2011), I had the opportunity to return to my alma mater and help capture one of the school’s biggest events of the year: Homecoming. Being back on the field and in the community where I grew up made this project all the more meaningful.
The Goal
The school’s communications team wanted high-quality video footage that could be used throughout the year for:
Their website
Social media content
Banner images
An end-of-the-year highlight video
They needed footage that goes beyond snapshots — something that truly captures the energy, pride, and spirit of Fairview Park High School.

The Game Plan
To make this happen, I partnered with their communications director. Since he focuses mainly on photography, my role was to handle all the video. Together, we were able to split responsibilities and cover everything seamlessly. My focus was on:
The Homecoming Parade
Football game action shots
Senior class moments
The crowd’s excitement
All the little details that make the event special
This approach ensured the school had plenty of usable footage to share across platforms, both now and for months to come.

Lessons Learned
For schools and organizations, video isn’t just about documenting events — it’s about extending their impact. With limited staff, it’s tough to capture everything happening at once. By partnering together, we made sure nothing was missed and that the school had a complete story to share.

Wrapping Up
Coming back to Fairview Park High School to create this project was an honor.
If your school or organization is looking to capture events with the same energy and quality, our team would love to help.
