Live Streaming a Wedding Across the World: Logan & Angela’s Ceremony at Rivercrest in Ohio

Every once in a while, we get to be part of a wedding that reminds us why live streaming matters so much. Logan and Angela invited us to Rivercrest Farm in Dover, Ohio, to stream their wedding ceremony for friends and family who could not attend in person. Some of their closest loved ones lived in overseas, so making the ceremony accessible online was incredibly important to them. Even with a last minute weather change, we were able to create a smooth, reliable stream that allowed guests near and far to feel present.

The Goal
Logan and Angela had one main goal. Make sure their family overseas could see their ceremony in real time. They did not need full day wedding videography. They simply wanted a professional, dependable live stream that would capture the heart of the moment, allow guests to watch without technical issues, and give them a recording they can keep forever.
Our Game Plan
We built a compact but powerful setup that works beautifully for indoor and outdoor ceremonies.
Here is what we used:
One professional Sony Camcorder
Two wireless microphones
One on Logan
One on the officiant
Originally, the ceremony was planned outdoors, but weather rolled in and the venue made a quick call to move everything inside. Because of the way we build our live streaming kits, transitioning indoors took only a few minutes. We adjusted lighting, rechecked audio levels, locked in our shot, and were ready to go.

Once the stream went live, BoxCast handled the heavy lifting. Their platform gave us rock solid reliability and access to viewer analytics in real time. We could see exactly where guests were watching from. Logan and Angela’s ceremony was being shared across continents.

Lessons Learned
Every wedding streaming job teaches us something new. Here is what stood out during Logan and Angela’s ceremony.
Flexibility is everything. Weather changes, things move around, and the plan shifts. A mobile kit allowed us to adapt instantly.
Audio matters just as much as video. The dual microphone setup made sure both Logan and the officiant were clear and easy to hear. This is one of the main differences between a professional stream and a phone on a tripod.
Live streaming connects people in powerful ways. Seeing viewers watch from all over the world in real time was a reminder of why this service exists. It brings families together when distance gets in the way.
