Important moments deserve to be captured with care and shared with the people who matter most — even if they can’t be in the room.
That’s why Cleveland Video Company was thrilled to live stream Orange High School’s graduation ceremony this year, hosted in the historic Connor Palace Theater at the iconic Playhouse Square in Cleveland. Known for its grandeur and rich history, Playhouse Square offered a stunning backdrop for this once-in-a-lifetime milestone.

We kept production lean yet professional with a single Sony camcorder, which captured the event in crisp high definition. For audio, we tapped directly into Playhouse Square’s house system using a Tascam recorder and fed that audio directly into our camera. This setup gave us a crystal-clear, reliable recording — and we had a microphone at the podium as an added layer of backup. With a small, dedicated crew, we were able to achieve professional video and audio results.
Given that a graduation is a singular event which will never be repeated, we prioritized streaming dependability. To deliver Orange High School's stream, we used the BoxCast Spark, a high-quality, reliable encoder that ensures a seamless broadcast every time. The stream went directly to the school’s website where hundreds of viewers tuned in live to celebrate and witness their graduates’ celebration from afar. With BoxCast, we’re always ready and able to stream to Facebook, YouTube, or anywhere else our clients need.
Both the graduation and the streaming production proceeded flawlessly. Proud friends and family were able to remotely watch their triumphant grads toss their caps into the air, and Cleveland Video Company was proud to bring this moment to them.
