How We Produce a 3-Day Conference: Behind the Scenes at the National Health Association Conference

Since 2019, we have been the official video production team for the annual National Health Association (NHA) conference, a cornerstone event in the world of plant-based eating. It’s a huge event that brings in doctors from all over the world to talk about plant-based eating, and we’re proud they trust us year after year to capture it all.

The Goal

So, what’s the goal each year? The NHA needs to stream and record their entire conference. We’re talking 25 different speakers, live cooking demos, and even morning exercise classes. They need it to look great for the people watching live and also need a ton of video content to use after the event is over.


The CVC Solution: Handling a large-scale event like this is what our team is built for. We created a comprehensive production plan to make sure we didnt miss a moment at the conference.


  • The Right Camera Angles: We run a 3-camera setup. Two are focused on the speakers on stage, and we have one rigged overhead. This gives us the perfect top-down angle for the cooking demos and lets us grab great shots of the crowd.

  • Smart Teamwork: We’re big believers in teamwork. We partner up with the pros at Ghostlight Productions and Rommie Sebo. They handle the sound and slides inside the room, which lets our crew focus 100% on getting the best video and audio recordings possible. It's a system that works and makes the whole day run smoothly.

  • The Highlight Reel: One of the most important things we create is a 3-5 minute highlight video. It’s a fast, fun look at the whole event, and the NHA uses it as their main tool to get people excited and signed up for next year’s conference.


The Result:


At the end of the day, the NHA gets everything they need. The live stream runs without a hitch, they get high-quality recordings of every single talk, and they have a powerful marketing video that helps them sell tickets for the next year.
